Kyle, yes the dash will fit for sure. The woodrain is removeable but often times there are big holes left. They weren't screwed to the dash there were big clips resulting in big holes, HOWEVER I have removed some woodgrain covers and found there to be NO HOLES, so it's a crapshoot. The other alternative is to remove the woodgrain, detail the dash, then paint the woodgrain panel the same semi gloss black and re-install OR even add carbon fiber to the woograin for a trick pro street look. Another thing to look out for: be sure to get the wiring harness for the dash. Also be aware of the fact that most Monte Carlos came with A/C and many of our Chevelles didn't. If you are installing a harness with AC into a car without AC it will not work. The heater harness is part of the AC harness in an AC car which means if you put the AC harness into your Non-AC car you will not have wiring for your heater! Lastly: the harnesses are different for each year. If you take a71 harness and put it into a 72 car, the pins that connect the firewall harness to the dash harness will not line up and many of your dash circuits will not have power. This probelm CAN be resolved but it is very time consuming. If this is the case, you will need to have both harnesses out of the car side by side along with both wiring diagrams so that you can trace each circuit and put the lins in the correct locations. Good luck hope this helps, I know it may be a little vague without actually having the parts in front of you. Any more questions don;t hesitate or I'll give you my phone #, and you can call me for more info etc...
