Hi Guys
I'm a little confused I need some insight into
engine breathers. I have a 67 327 motor. On the back of the block next to
the distributor is a hole where a breather tube with a check valve went. I have
been told it is a crank case breather ok fine. Now I was reading current Super
Chevy Chevelle magazine there is an article called Basically Speaking about
simple engine upgrades. Anyway they talk about a weird canister in the valley
area that is an internal breather and if you install breathers in your valve
cover you can discard this.
Now I do remember seen that canister and wondered
what it was for. I do have valve cover breathers.
Is the internal canister breather part of the
breather on the back of the block?
If not can I block the breather at the back of the
block? As long as I have the breathers in the valve cover?
Thanks for the help!!!!!
