If you want one that looks original, original would be the way to go.  I don't know if it'd work in your car or not, but on 66/67 models, you can make an adapter to bolt the stock Muncie shifter tower to a Hurst Comp Plus shifter.  Unless someone looks underneath or pulls the console/boot, you'd never suspect.

thanks for responding, anyways what does everyone use so that it fits the hump plate and can use the boot and ring so that it looks original (course without useing the stock original) or must i use it???  i need a shifter  for a  bench seat  and looks original. Thanks again.
