Hi Steve,
i 'm useing the Hurst Comp Plus Shifter in my 72 Chevelle, but i don't have the console to hide the boot and the retainer ring, my boot and ring from hurst is much larger then the stock and it won't screw down at all 4 corners cause of the size, i'm still at a loss on what i can do to make this look like it was from the factory, i bought a new boot and ring but can't use them because of the shifter, i have a bench seat also, i hate to have to bye a muncie shifter and have those darn shifting problems happen to me   so i'm with you on this one  thanks
