Might also be a good reason to use an exhaust system w/ an H or X pipe :)

Subject: RE: [Chevelle-List] Head Gasket Thickness concerns.

When I bought my Chevelle 16 years ago it had a 350 with one camel back head
and one stock head. It ran fine. Point being is the sides were not
perfectly symmetrical.

:) What you got here is an opportunity to 1) spend more time on it, and 2)
spend more money on it. This is a good excuse to detail and clean up the
top half of the motor, if that kind of thing is necessary.

It is not too much extra work to do the second one while you are in there.

Good luck.

Mark

owner had a "Master kit" rebuild several yrs ago and I don't know what head
gasket to use. If I only replace one head gasket, could I use a Fel Pro?
Would the potential difference in gasket thickness in relation to the other
head cause any problems.
