Jason, I've had an Accel/DFI on my 396 for almost 3 years now with no problems, other than I think my fuel pump gave out last week. Me thinks the "undo stress" is on dad. :*) http://www.dalesplace.com/htm/chevelle/the_engine.htm Engine runs no hotter than it did with the Edelbrock/Holley and I drive it almost daily. I've driven it to Nashville three times (2000 miles round trip), Kansas City numerous times (1000 miles round trip), Tulsa, Wichita, etc. and, with unleaded fuel, plugs last a couple of years. Ever wonder why almost all new cars have EFI? Aftermarket EFI isn't as cheap as an aluminum manifold and 4-bbl, but if he's got the money to do it, I'd say go for it.
