All Chevelle rear ends will 'bolt in',
but:
Rear spring
mounting pads differed in that 1964-66 rear ends used a flat pad with a hole
drilled in the center. 1968-72 rear ends have circular spring mounting pads,
which are 3/4" higher that the early flat pad. The 68-72 rear ends are
wider but will bolt into a 67 without a spring change. I had a 68-72
rear in my 67 for quite a number of years. It does limit wheel/tire sizes
due to its being wider. I'm not even sure it was out of a Chevelle since
it had 2.79 gears and Chevrolet didn't have a 2.79 gear set - and yes, I did
pull the cover off and not only counted the teeth but the count was stamped on
the ring gear as well.
I've been told
that 67 was a transition year in that A-cars might have a 1964-66 style rear
end, a 1968-72 rear end (which is wider, and commonly available), or a "hybrid"
rear end, which will have the 58.5" width, but with the early spring mounting
pad and trailing arm brackets but I've never seen a 67 with the flat spring pad
so I can't confirm that.

All 64-67 rears will bolt in, but you need to be careful since you have a 67. You cannot use the 67 springs with the other year rears if I recall correctly.
