I was turned down by Hagerty when I was asked whether my car had a nitrous system (At that point it didn't). I told the girl I was thinking about it and she cut our conversation short and told me they wouldn't insure any car that had nitrous or EVER had nitrous. I asked how they could possibly know if a car EVER had nitrous if it had been removed. She didn't know, but that was their policy and I answered the "N" word question wrong so I was treated like an outlaw. I never got to answer the roll bar question.
They obviously only want restorations, not anything modified beyond a chrome air filter and valve covers. Their idea of modified is certainly different than mine. I would be fine with that except that they represent themselves as accepting modified vehicles. All in all, I found them to be quite ridiculous to deal with.
