I had to replace three out of four floor pans in my 64 convert.I
took it to a fellow who owned a sheet metal shop.I purchased the floors from
that Atlanta Georgia company.I watched the fellow cut them out and then drop
them in with an overlap. He then drilled little holes and put sheet metal
screws through the holes, so that they would not move when he started to
weld them. After,he just backed the screws out and spot welded the tiny screw
holes shut.It was interesting to watch and learn. They look and fit like a
hot damn.He then made me buy black marine paint to totally seal them against
moisture ever hitting the bare metal.
