Dan, consider flushing the cooling system if it hasn't been done recently. It's something worth doing every couple of years if not more often. Also, spray down the radiator with a garden hose to clear out any possible blockages between the fins. Since you already have a good shroud and fan setup, a new thermostat and clean system should make a difference.
