This reminds me of something I have been thinking about. I am wondering just how many Chevelles are being restored to put on the road that haven't seen the road in a while?  I wonder how many are being saved, that would have otherwise ended up in the junk yard ....like some other non-classic models.

I know that in my club almost half of the members have cars that are not yet on the road. While mine was supposedly "on the road" when I bought it .....it wouldn't start for me and I had to have it towed. Even if they are "on the road" some guys are taking them off to do a restore project of some extent.

Bottom line is, I wonder how many more Chevelles will be on the road a year or two from now than are currently being driven? I think the numbers are increasing dramatically. We seem to have new clubs spring up, more and more Chevelles at shows, more and more guys restoring them, and more and more youngsters getting into restoring Elkies and Chev_L's.

The future looks bright!  Maybe GM will give us Chevelle Owners some respect and consideration in the future huh?

Guys can't build 'em if they can't get g-o-o-d repro parts.  If you build it, they will come.
