I am a partner in a '66 SS hardtop which has not seen the street in many years. It is a good solid foundation for a restoration, and is slowly getting put back together. I am wondering just how many Chevelles are being restored to put on the road that haven't seen the road in a while?  I wonder how many are being saved, that would have otherwise ended up in the junk yard ....like some other non-classic models.   I know that in my club almost half of the members have cars that are not yet on the road. While mine was supposedly "on the road" when I bought it .....it wouldn't start for me and I had to have it towed. Even if they are "on the road" some guys are taking them off to do a restore project of some extent.   Bottom line is, I wonder how many more Chevelles will be on the road a year or two from now than are currently being driven? I think the numbers are increasing dramatically.
