Well, speaking from years of owning chevys I can tell
you heat shields are a good investment. I had the same problem with several cars
and it went away instantly after adding the shield. Don't believe me? call "Mega
torque" Starter and alternators in Kansas City 816-231-7032 . Heat shields
do just that. they shield from heat. hence the name ;-D, take it from the pros.
