I got word that the engine I.D. was in the right front too. It tuned out that the real I.D. was in the left rear of the block. That gave me two engine sizes, but after I took it apart I finally matched the crank to a 283. I matched it up using the information in the "Mortech" website (if you arent already aware of Mortech).
