I see some people are worried about losing points at a show. I will shed some light on the subject since I have been doing shows for 4 years now. Changing the original color does not affect anything whatsoever at a show UNLESS you are building an AACA car where they look at engine/tranny/rear numbers and paint and interior codes. My 70 is not the original color. It was originally red, and since I cannot stand red I changed it to blue which is not even a stock Chevelle blue. If you plan on taking it to local shows only, I'm going to tell you right now that 90% of them are peer judged anyway and you will only win depending upon how many friends you have their. Even at Chevellabration or any of the regional ACES shows, no one looks at the paint code. The only thing looked at is if it's a nice paint job or not. I say go with whatever color you like and go for it :-D and don't worry abouts shows.
