I'll probably catch some flack from the pros out there, with $400.00 guns, about the gun purchase but I just purchased a Sharpe Cobalt gravity feed HVLP and I really like it. I have painted my firewall and inner fenders with it and they turned out great. Even got a compliment from my paint guy. I also just purchased a new respirator. It is a 3M model 6800 full face respirator. I'm using a 6001 organic vapor cartridge with a pre filter. It is what was advise by the 3M rep. I went with the full face for eye protection and a second seal. The full face seals around the nose and mouth and also around the face. Cobalt gun cost $116.00 at Tool Paradise.com. Respirator $89.00 w/ a 6006 filter at probuy.com. Lens covers, 25 for $19.95 also probuy.com. Cartridges $10.95 for a pair of organic vapor (R6001) and $9.95 for 6 pack of pre-filters (5P71-6) at unclejoes.com.
