Hi guys and girls,

I finally put the motor in the car on Friday; perfect
'the-day-after-thanksgiving-activity'.

After two years of it being built, I am kind of anxious of starting it up.
Since there is no tranny support to keep the motor's oil pan from sitting on
the cross frame, I was going to put a few blocks of wood to keep it more
level.

I have all the wiring out of the engine compartment and dash, so I am
thinking about using a quick little setup with a battery hooked to the
starter and using a push button starter switch.

Here is what I know:
The battery cable goes to the big terminal on the starter.
There are two connections on the starter.
The distributor (Mallory HEI) needs hookup.

So, with the above,
Does the distributor(+) get hooked up to the smaller terminal on the
starter?
The two ends of the push button starter switch gets hooked to the
two terminals on the starter?
Do I need the alternator hooked up for a few minute run?

There is obviously other items (like cooling) besides electrical, but I
think I got those covered; it's just the wiring is where I am second
guessing myself.

Thanks in advance!!!

-Graham.
