Does anyone make (or made) a dual plane, Holley bolt pattern, intake with the oil
filler hole?
This will be mostly a stock engine so I'm thinking it needs to be of modest runner
size and suitable for idle to 4500 rpm.
This is for my 4 door and driveabilty and decent mileage are important.
I want to use a Holley since I have several smallish Holley vacuum sec 4 barrels I
picked up for my six cylinders so I have a choice of 390, 450, and 600 cfm carbs.
I lean towards a 450 myself.
I know little to nothing about Q-jets(and don't own any) and not sure I want to learn
at this point.
I've seen a few GM intakes intended for mid 60's 327's which seems to make them scarce
and pricey so aftermarket is probably what I'll end up with.
Everything seems geared towards 350 engines so I'm cautious about what to use. I don't
want to find I've hitched the operating rpm range up a notch and killed the low end.
I've probably made enough qualifications that there isn't anything but if you know of
something that might work let me know.
Thanks.
