Header

I installed a set in my Nova and had the same problem. I had to unbolt the
driver side engine mount and jack up that side to get the header in. I still
had a problem with the header hitting the steering box just enough to cause
a problem. I marked the spot where it was touching and took a ballpeen
hammer and using the ball part, I laid it against the mark and hit the
hammer end with another hammer to put a small dent in the tube. Reinstalled
the header and it fit perfect. By the way, these were Jet Coated. No damage
was done to the coating. They were Hedman Headers and were supposed to be a
perfect fit for my Nova. I don't know if I've seen a perfect fit yet. I'm
sure there out there though. Rich
