Thanks for the reply. Did you notice any changes with the Royal Purple oil with respect to idle speed? What about performance? E.T. or trap speed? Also weren't you the one with the 454 that ate thrust bearings? As I remember the solution was polishing the crank thrust surfaces and no more problems.

I get Royal Purple 20-50 for 5.87 a quart. I�ve been using it for about 10 months in the car. I don�t street it much, mostly drag racing, but it works good for me.
