Yeah, I know the water pump runs backwards in a completely stock 454 serpentine setup ......that's where I HOPE to be able to modify mine to run forwards. I think I have it figured out, but need to make sure of some things.
I had heard that when you run the water pump backwards that you lose some efficiency. That's one reason I'd like to go with a normal rotation pump. Another is that I already have a normal rotation chrome pump I'd like to use :) I finally found a water pump serpentine pulley that will work because it's grooved and made for an aftermarket system.
