Thanks to all for your input- The shifter is the standard type "T" handled shifter with the black button on the top. I'm hoping I got the right one for the Chevelle- A friend told me the Impala ones were the same for that timeframe, but I'm not so sure. I can take a pic and send it to anyone who might need more info.
