I guess I have been doing it wrong my whole life. I thought you were supposed to start with the wheel closest to the master cylinder and move further out, that is LF, RF, LR and RR. I guess that's what I get for learning on a Dodge - everthing is bass ackwards...

If the shoes are not adjusted tight enough, then it will take more pedal travel to push them out. Another thing, if the car has power brakes, if you have your foot on the pedal when you start the car, it will drop a little bit--don't worry about that, it's supposed to. It can be a real pain to get all of the air out of the system when you're pump bleeding it by yourself. If you have someone to help you it goes faster. Have the helper pump the pedal 3 times & hold it down, you open the bleeder & he pushes the pedal to the floor. Use a clear line off of the bleeder screw so that you can see when the bubbles go away. When it's clear, go to the next wheel. The proper sequence is RR, LR, RF, LF. Hope this helped ya. BL
