[Chevelle-list] Cowl induction question

Hello All:   I had my cowl induction working on my 1970 chevelle, driven it for approx 900 miles, the vacuum pod gave out.  Looking at a catalog, it show I was supposed to have a vacuum control valve between the manifold and the vacuum pod.   Is this correct?????  is this a common problem?????   Thanks for your help   See you all at Power Tour  (starting in Davenport)   Gary 1970 Chevelle SS 396 Cranberry red/black stripes
