Are youn running AC? I have the same setup you do w/ AC and this week
when the ambient is 100-105 the top tank measured 225 with the engine 
running and 238 after shutoff with heat soak. 

I'm thinking of installing an electric fan but can't decide whether to
mount it as a pusher, leaving the 7 blade fan in place, or whether to
yank the 7 blade and mount the electric as a puller.

I'm running a '65 Malibu with its notorious small radiator frontal area.

I'd welcome any ideas from someone with a similar setup in a *hot* climate
(i.e. Phoenix).
