[Chevelle-list] Rear Axle ID please

I just acquired a 10 bolt posi and wondering if anyone can tell me what it originally was from.  Thanks in advance.  GDC 340 E 2 is the # stamped on the axle tube.  I couldn't find the GDC anywhere.  Zieg72
