180 it would not even come close to running. The power supply for the breaker point distributor is routed through a resistance wire to drop the voltage and prevent damage to the points. A bypass wire was also used to supply the distributor with a full 12 volts at startup. On the other hand, an HEI distributor requires a full 12 volt supply. here is a link on how to do this
