I'm thinking the retainer is the housing that you're looking for.
Regardless of which part it is (and I admit, I'm confused when I look at
the list of parts there as to what is what), I *do* know that a few years
ago for Christmas my dad was able to buy me EVERYTHING from them for my
69 (and maybe other places have all the stuff, too, although I agree with
you that when I checked Year One and a couple others, I didn't see it).
Like I said, I had a gaping hole with NOTHING (no housing, no element, no
nothing) and he was able to get everything from The Paddock at that time
at least (and it fits & looks fine).

My initial searches for year 67 for the housing came up with nothing.
Maybe the 'retainer' is the housing? I already have the element and
knob.
Um - I'll look into the other years. I really don't care if it works
even,
just as long that the element fits.
