I recently bought a pair of old fenders for my El Camino and was researching ways to remove the surface rust. I ran across a technique using electrolysis where you submerge the part in a solution of water and baking soda and pass a current between the part and an iron electrode. I've never heard of this, but it appears to be pretty effective, cheap, clean, and easy to do.
Has anyone every tried this? Tom Tomlinson
