I purchased Speed Demon without actually watching the movie.  I wouldn't 
recommend that.  It is the most cheesy bizzare movie I ever saw...and you don't 
get to see much of the car.  I believe they did that on purpose because it had 
a 70 front clip, a 71-72 rear bumper, SS markings (with a Malibu dash).  I 
think it just made me mad.  If you are really twisted, you might like the parts 
in the movie where the "car gang" worships an engine by placing it in the 
middle of a pentagram, stripping down to their underwear and workboots, and 
marching around it.  Personally, I had to fast-forward through the parts where 
they rubbed motor oil over each other.

As far as Speed TV.  I agree.  I don't even watch it anymore and usually tune 
into the Horsepower Block on Spike TV.
