Is there any good books or how to's dealing with replacing dashboard componants? I have a 66 SS and would like to replace Heater controls, Ignition switch, gauges, etc. I have never fooled with dashboards and don't know how involved it is.

You need to get the assembly manual, the Fisher Body manual and the Chassis Service manual for your year of car. They are available on the 'Net and through almost all of the catalog suppliers (OPGI, Year One, Ground Up, etc.).
