In the past, air ride was not known for good handling characteristics. Air
Ride Co. has changed all that now with some new stuff. Their new air ride
coilovers work very well in the handling department. I'm considering the
changeover for the improved ride quality and easier ride height
adjustments, not for handling improvements. On a conventional coilover
set-up,it's very hard to have a good ride and handling, both. My El Camino
handles very well but has a harsh ride quality. I'm not a young man anymore
so that takes some of the enjoyment out of driving the car. Air Ride stuff
isn't cheap but for my application,I think it will do what I want it to do.
