Driven a couple of weeks isn't good. I had a Vega with water in the oil and it
spun a rod bearing and ruined the crankshaft. If it runs rough when you first
start it then starts to run smooth then water is leaking into a cylinder due to
head gasket, most likely. Don't just replace the head gasket without having
the heads check to see they are warped. I have seen cracks in the block in the
lifter galley above the lifters. If you pull the heads look in this area for
signs of antifreeze. If the car is still in good condition it may be time for
a crate motor.
