My 67 had a saginaw behind a 350 horse 396 when I bought it. That poor tranny didn't have a chance. It only lasted me about 3 months but I wasn't easy on it. I bought a richmond 5-speed for it 4 years ago and havn't had a problem since. Now my engine is far from stock and I think the richmond was the best investment I could have done for the car besides the aluminum top end.  I am only 23 so you know the car is driven hard.
