Ya so I went back out, opened the door, no
power… Opened the hood, tightened up the battery connections as
tight as I could (barely moved) and then opened the door.. POWER! Tried
to start it, started fine… hmmm From:

On Behalf Of Crazy Rusty Off Topic but I need to figure it out to
get the car out of the way of my Chevelle… so its close... anyone have
any ideas??? Thanks!! From: Crazy Rusty Hey Bob, wondering if you knew what this sounded like..
TICKTICKTICKTICKTIII… no just kidding.. I went to start up the 85 camaro so I opened the door (noted
the power was still on), turn the key halfway (noted the engine light and seat
belt lights were bright), turned the key fully and nothing. All power is
gone, totally. I left it for a few hours and then came back and the power
was back on. I put the drivers seat and lock cylinder back in (figured
maybe a circuit wasn’t completing because one or both of those were
out). Tried it again and again the power completely died. Went out a few minutes ago, tried it, lost power.
Hooked up my jump starter and put it to 200Amp startfast and the power was back
on immediately. Tried to start and all I got was a bunch of ticking and
the fan trying to move but not getting far, maybe a quarter of a rotation if
that. I kept doing it and eventually lost power WITH the jump starter
hooked up. I tried the jump starter thing because the battery was only
showing 5.8 or something like that. Now I can’t figure it
out. It was fine for a long time until I took the drivers seat out and
started messing with the drivers door. Can you think of anything? Thanks, JB |
