My car is 1969's Dusk Blue Metallic. It's not "metal flake" per se, but the
guy who painted it complained about there being so much metal in the paint
that it tended to pool up and settle in certain areas. He also complained
about it being difficult to buff out without it looking like it had fine
scratches in it from the metal. Needless to say, the guy who painted my car
was pretty clueless and did a "half fast" job, but apparently metal flake or
metallic paint in general is tougher to get right than regular paint.
