rob peter to pay paul sounds like a good plan, those canister oil  are a pain in the ass, personal i have no problem with them for i have done enough times, wix carries a filter adapter to convert to a spin on, they work great, im running one on my 396, i seen a new part in the original parts group  catolog for a full time oil filtering devise thought i might try it next time
