==============Sunday I decided to check out the oil leak on the Chevelle. I'd noticed a leak a while ago and thought it was a bad gasket on the spin on oil filter. The leak went away for a while, and then came back. I tightened the filter a bit more and the leak seemed to be there still, but it looked like it was the filter. On Sunday I put the car on stands and got under it while running.
Yes I have....my 64 Corvette HAD the canister and I never got it on the 1st time without it leaking...
dropped a 67 327 (donated from a 67 Vette) into my 72 Corvette and I put the adaptor on it before I put any oil in the thing.... I do however check the internal bolts on the adapter every time I change the oil in both
been there done that too...
BUT I Absolutely Hate the cartridge filter...spill oil just removing the old one then the new one leaks..screw em...adapters are cheap...got a spare in the garage ...
BUT in February I was building a roll top desk for my son in law for his birthday out of solid walnut
to rout the correct arc for the top to roll back in I spent almost all day building a jig etc...THEN promptly
make two identical left hand sides for the desk top....that was a day I would like to forget...Walnut is not cheap
and I wasted almost a full day...
Heck I wonder WHEN the next ..one of those days ...will be...
