The U-joints seemes fine. But the brass bushing in the output shaft have far to much side play! So I guess that the drive shaft is unbalanced causing the damage to the bushing. While you are replacing the U-joints check to see how much side play is in your yoke, the transmission may need a new bushing in the output shaft.  This can be caused by an out of balance driveshaft.  Been their, done that. When they go bad,they will shake the vehicle as you describe. If I give the car a bit of gas & keep the engine working/pulling it dissapears at speeds below the one mentioned above.
