Double check the wiring on the ignition solenoid, if it is stuck or mis-wired, it can energize the starter when ignition power is applied.

<x-tad-bigger>Hey list,</x-tad-bigger>
<x-tad-bigger> Here’s the latest problem I’ve come up with. My friend has a 1967 mustang and just built a 302 to put in it. We wired everything up and for some reason the starter cranks the motor over when the key is in the ON position instead of the START position. We went over the diagrams and connections all day and got nowhere. It’s a little off topic but if anyone has any input on how to fix it please let me know. Thanks –RJ Winkler</x-tad-bigger>
