Larry, For what it's worth, the only set of Sandersons I have installed were on a Nova small block and they did exactly what you said. One of the tubes pulled loose at the flange.
I didn't call Sanderson, But just pulled the header and re welded it. This would not stop me from buying the product. They fit great and provide excellent clearance.

Dan,

I've always heard Jet Hot's product and service is top notch. My concerns are with Sanderson's customer service. It's been several years since those complaints were mentioned. Who knows, maybe they've corrected any customer service issues by now.

Surprising! I bought a set of Hookers for my 454 with a 8-71 BDS blower from Jet Hot. I had them coat the headers and have had no problems. Jet HotÂ’s service has been great and they did everything as planned!

Clint,

I hear what you're saying. I'm finding it real difficult to find anything that meets everything I'm looking for that's affordable. I like what I see with the Sanderson BB3. I'm just going to move a bit slower before I buy I think.

Here's a couple of samples of the customer service issues I've seen. The S10 link is down at the moment, but the Complaints.com one is working...

Just curious but where did you read the complaints,Larry? Not discounting your concerns at all but is there any header manufacturer that satifies everyone? If so,please let me know because I'll be changing headers in the near future. So far,the only ones I've seen that will give me the best ground clearance and allow a manual transmission are the Sandersons. Hedman and Patriot make intermediate headers that have good ground clearance but won't allow a manual trans. Some people swear by Hooker or Hedman but from my experiences,I'm not impressed at all. It seems that you really do get what you pay for, especially when it comes to headers. Having said that,I may end up buying a pair of Stainless Works full length units. They cost around $600-700 but supposedly tuck up under the undercarriage very well.

Clint,

I've been doing some web research on Sanderson headers. I've found several complaints about their headers cracking where the primaries come out of the flange, and the alarming part is cases after case, these people are saying they got the cold shoulder from Sanderson. Not one received satisfaction.

Of course I found many recommendations, including yours, but I read enough negative stories that I'll consider others first. It's a shame. They seem to have good products, but service after the sale is an important consideration.

Try a pair of coated Sanderson intermediates for your 65. You'll love them.
