Donnie.. Min wag was $1.25 an hour X 40 = $50,00 gross pay a week.. So it
would be over a weeks pay for a posi rear..so $53.oo could make or break
your months budget.. BTDT

All depends on how it was ordered. Folks back then like to save a few
bucks. Shoot a posi rear was only about an additional $53, but some opted
not to
get it. But then back then... $53 would have bought you more than a
dinner.
