I had that same question in the mid 70's when I was an electronics tech school student. I wanted to make my parking lights stay on. So on my '65 I removed the headlight switch to see what I could do. I noticed a small brass shorting bar on the switch's pins. After poking around with a meter I found that I could move a lug in the connector to the pin over the shorting bar. It took working the lug out of the connector with a paper clip and putting it back in the right hole. I added those amber bulbs to the front and my parking lights have come on with the headlights for years. Chuck 65 Malibu 327 - 4 speed
