He got the cover from Summit and it was in the Edelbrock box. It surprised
me to see it was from China.

Since Edelbrock has one of the most modern foundries in the USA,that timing
cover sounds like a forgery. There's a lot of that stuff going on and our
US
companies are having a hard time putting a stop to it,too. Someone over
there is copying Edelbrock's intake manifolds.
GM's Bowtie aluminum parts are cast by Edelbrock.
I've heard about a lot of failures with the CAT roller rocker's needle
bearings. Not everything Chinese-made is bad but as long as I have an
alternative when it comes to parts for my El Camino,their parts will not be
on it. To each his own.
