Guys (and Gals)
the pervious owner(s) of my Malibu did the sillycone "quick fix", i still have leaks. lucky for me i have a garage, John on the other hand does not. i can understand him wanting to stop the leak. i have clear silicon all over the place, and i know when i remove the windshield molding i will find a nightmare under it. i'm wondering if the moulding will be worth salvaging. i will have to remove both the front and rear glass. i was just wondering if it would be safer and easyer to have a windshield "expert" remove the glass so i can repair the metal channel. i still dont get arround as much as i'd like since i broke my back. i do like to do most of the work myself, but sometimes its best to know whats beyond my physical limitations.
any volunteers? i'd buy the beer :)

p.s. I know that my front & rear glass used to leak, and now they don't, and
it only took a thin bead of silicone to seal it, so you might have a hard
time convincing me that I've made anything any worse. The next time those
pieces of glass come out will hopefully be the next time that the car gets
painted, and it will be stripped down for that. I'm not worried about
getting the silicone off. The paint under it will be coming off too.
