Russ, Paint right over it. A good semi gloss like Duplicolor with make the undercoat look new again without the buildup of more undercoat.

Do you have a suggestion that I could coat with that would cover the existing undercoating?  It does not look bad but I was just wanting to get that new semi-gloss look.  I am open to any and all ideas.

 Thanks,Clint

Why would you want to remove the undercoating,Russ? Just curious.

I have a question regarding the removal of old undercoatings.  I have a 65 Chevelle SS and today I checked the underbody.  I think it still has the original undercoating.  Last winter I put in a new carpet and the floorpans were in real good shape.  I think the underbody is also.  I have read several articles on how to remove this old undercoating and I wanted to see if anyone has some good advice.  I do not want to remove the body.
Thanks,
