The roller type dyno's have some shortcomings. I have heard that
the rear gear of the car can influence the #'s. The numbers are
inertia driven and may not be 100% accurate. Our local dyno is a
dynojet. Hot rod did some testing but I don't remember the
specifics. I would have expected 275-300 but who knows. Timing, gas
and other tuning factors all come into play. Did you have a chance to
change anything while testing? At least the dyno can be used as a
relative measure. Change something and test against your previous
numbers.
I believe the 70's had vented caps and 71-72 had nonvented.
