Are the stock pistons ok? If so,why not keep them
and spend the money on some good headwork or even some World Merlin oval port
heads,instead? If it were me doing the build-up,I would try to stay away from
compression ratios that require premium fuel. The difference between a 9:1 and
10:1 compression ratio is probably less than 20hp/20ft lbs tq.
Tell us more about your combination. What
transmission will you be using? What rear gear?
Not familiar with those #360 head castings. Can
anyone offer their input?
