If you go with the Hydraboost unit, it will solve your problem with the tight clearance. I had the same problem with my 454. Now I have all the room I need, plus the Hydraboost is far superior!

I have a 1966 w/ small block tall valve covers, they just clear with a 9” power booster!!

It's almost time to redo my brakes. I picked up a rebuilt power disk brake setup a while back. Anyways, since I have tall valve covers on my 396 in my 66, this huge booster will not fit.

 

Can somebody tell me what size booster I should buy for my dual reservoir master cylinder? If you can recommend a place to buy, it would be helpful.
