John, a divorced choke is where the hear coil, or
heat tube is mounted on the intake itself with a rod or tube to work the choke
plate. Mid to late 70's Q-Jets had electric chokes on some units.
You can get a local parts store usually. Just check and be sure the spring
is turned in correct direction to open coke when heated by the electric
conductor.
